Ferdinand O. Sia was a consultant at the Asian Development Bank and at a U.S. Agency for International Development project in the Philippines, doing regional macroeconomic assessments and country reports on Asia as well as financial sector studies on the Philippines. Mr. Sia has taught economics and statistics at the Ateneo De Manila University¡¯s Economics department and the School of Government. He is a co-author of the textbook, Economics: A Modern Approach, which is being adopted by secondary schools in the Philippines.

Gmelina O. Guiang has over seven years of work experience in various economic research and development projects under the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and the U.S. Agency for International Development.She was recently the infrastructure development sector manager and policy development specialist with the Economic Policy and Reform Advocacy Project of USAID Philippines. Ms. Guiang also taught economics and statistics to both undergraduate and graduate students at the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines from 2003 to 2007.

Ms. Zhang Juan joined Informatics in January 2008 and is currently a course facilitator for BT605 Research Methodologies. She is a PhD candidate with the Department of Anthropology at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Her doctoral research focuses on cross-border businesses in Southwest China and northern Vietnam. She is also interested in transnationalism, cultural geography and research methodologies. Prior to her doctoral study in Australia, she worked at the National Institute of Education as a research assistant in a longitudinal research project on biculturalism and Chinese values among Singaporean youth. When she was pursuing a Masters at the Department of Sociology at the National University of Singapore, she also worked as the main research assistant for a departmental project on ASEAN identities and ASEAN supra-national geobody. She tutored three undergraduate courses during that time as well. She is familiar with both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and is particularly interested in qualitative methods and ethnography.Ms. Zhang has received NUS Postgraduate Scholarship, Macquarie University iMUS Scholarship and Macquarie Postgraduate Research Funds. Her published work can be found in the journal of Field Methods, and in Impressions of the Goh Chok Tong Years in Singapore (2007).

Dr. Anido¡¯s extensive experience in ICT prompted her active involvement in several professional organizations such as Genesys Inc., an IBM users club, and the IT Foundation of the Philippines, the umbrella organization of all IT organizations in the country. She is also the founding Chairman of the Philippine Society of IT Educators (PSITE).
Dr. Anido was appointed as member of the Technical Panel for Information Technology Education (TPITE) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) from 1995 to 2004 to develop and recommend key policies and standards for the advancement of IT education in the Philippines.
Dr. Anido has been Far Eastern University¡¯s Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs since 2001.

Mr. Palaniappan has been a Lecturer with Informatics from June 1999 till to date. He has obtained his M Phil Computer Science & MSc Computer Science Degrees from Bharathiar University India and BSc Computer Science from Bharathidasan University India. All the degrees conferred on him were 1st class honours degrees. In total, he has 16 years of teaching experience under his belt.
He also, served as Programme leader for UOL & Curtin programmes, currently he is the programme leader for OBU programme. His fields of interest are Software Engineering, Project Management, Database Development Human Computer Interaction & Decision Support Systems. He is involved in teaching the various subjects of UOL, UCE, UOP OBU, RMIT & Curtin university Degree programmes. |

Mr. Francis Ho obtained his Master¡¯s degree in computer science from the University of Sheffield (UK). He joined the school in the year 1999, and has been teaching Distributed Network, Network Communication, Human Computer Interaction, e-Commerce Design and Technology, Decision Support System, Information System, Advanced System Development, Business Communication, Business Statistics, Knowledge Management and e-Commerce Networking and Managerial Accounting modules from universities such as RMIT, University of London, University of Central England and University of Portsmouth since joining the school.

Ms. Latha has a MBA (HR) from the Indira Gandhi National University, India, a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications, Bachelor of Science from the University of Madras, India and is a Microsoft Certified Professional in .NET Web Applications and Web Services.
She teaches ADIT, IDIC, IT Degree, J2EE, OOAD, UML, .NET C#, XML, Database, web design and web service courses.
Before joining Informatics, she was a senior IT consultant and provided IT services and training to Sony Information System, Singtel, NCS, IBM, Deutsche Bank AG and Indian Banks.

Sally holds a Master in Science (International Marketing) from the University of Strathclyde and a Diploma from Chartered Institute of Marketing. Sally is also a qualified musician with an honorary LCM (London College of Music) and Associate Diploma in LCM.
She is a dedicated lecturer and has been with Thames Business School for 13.5 years. She is also a marketing specialist, and her forte is in Marketing of Services, Consumer Behaviour, International Marketing and Marketing Communication.
Sally oversees the University of Wales (Marketing) programme and is also one of the school¡¯s counsellors.

Mr. Krishna Kumar teaches Accounting and Finance subjects. A graduate, he has attained professional qualifications from Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, U.K.
Mr. Krishna has over 20 years of experience in Banking, Manufacturing, Trading and Public practice industries in India, Middle East, Europe and Far East. Mr. Kumar also has some teaching experience in India and U.K.
Mr. Krishna has been with Thames Business School for the past few years, starting on a part-time basis and is currently a full time lecturer. His vast experience in senior management cadre can relate very well with his teaching.

Dr Alice Good

Dr Good has seven years teaching experience within the various computing departments at the University of Portsmouth, in addition to recently being appointed as a facilitator for IT357. Much of Dr Good’s teaching expertise lies in distance learning. She has supervised a large number of MSc and BSc projects over the years, as well as teaching core units, predominnatly with an HCI and e-Commerce focus. In addition to this, she has been involved with setting up eLearning systems and co-ordinating distance learning student support.

Dr Good is an active researcher with particular interests in HCI and eLearning, and a member of the University of Portsmouth’s HCI research group. Dr Good has published papers in world renowned academic journals, along with a book chapter, as well as being invited to speak at the internationally renowned HCI conferences. Dr Good also offers a consultancy service in usability and accessibility and has been involved in a number of HCI based projects over the last 8 years, including designing information kiosk interfaces and providing accessibility audits for commercial web sites.
Dr Good is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, as well as being awarded professional membership of the Association of Computing Machinery. She is also a member of the British Computer Society, the Web Access Initiative Group and the Human Computer Interaction group. |
